"Thus this was" - A view in the past.
It is the theme of our play this year and I was again allowed to make the poster. I only load up the picture without the text.
We will put lots of biographies of blind or visually handycapped people in our play and thats what is shown here.

Yes, there is a part in the second wold war.
I was surprised, because blind people doesn't became killed in the second war. They were used as eavesdropper by the Nazis but only men.
One of the characters we chose was not allowed to live his dreams, because he had to word as a eavesdropper another blind man (Frenchman) made an undergroundorganisation agains the Nazis.

A blind man from New York contrived the braille for math and became a professor of math.
Every blind student who wants to study Math wil be glad, because he made this braille.

A visually handycapped girl had the same problems as visually handycapped girls in our time. Pupils can be very cruel. Thats what I thougt, when I read the parts of her story in her book.

Ther is also a blind climber and two teachers of schools for blind children. One is in Africa and one in Tibet.

I think they all have interesting storys.
